New Version: 3.2 Beta 0310
Internet Business Box
We just uploaded the latest beta release of version 3.2.
It incorporates a new focus list for the multi-variate software that focuses on improving the sales page for product 1001 (selling the site itself).
The sales page for product 1001 has a new section that lists every domain within your corporate network and it's price and allows a purchase directly from the domain sales page on any site in your corporate network.
The installer is still here:
Internet Business Box Install
But it is also built into the software itself starting from this version.
That means that you only need to install the software on your corporate site and build a data file with minimal information about the sites in your corporate network. The software itself will then push out the latest version from the corporate site to all of the other sites in your corporate network.
To make this work (and to make the site list function work on the "This Site For Sale" sales page), you will need to create a sitelist.txt file and upload it to the dat folder on your corporate site.
The file should list one site per line and has six fields separated by commas. Those six fields are:
1. Domain.
2. FTP user ID.
3. FTP password.
4. Site name.
5. Site topic.
6. Minimum price in dollars.
Here is an example of a line of the sitelist.txt file:
TestiVar.com,testivar,testpassword,Testi Var,test,100
That is the minimum information that your corporate site needs to install the software on all of the other sites in your corporate network. All of the other information that you supply during the install process using our installer form is corporate wide information that is duplicated from your corporate site to all of the sites in your corporate network.
There is also a new standard post called "Guest Post" which allows for guests to post on your blog. Those guests must be members of your platinum membership program to get access to this new post.
The Ad Swap Request standard post has also been restricted to platinum members only. This deal with spam and is also the winner of the multi-variate test for whether it should be access restricted or not.
The fancy scrolling picture box in the upper-right corner lost the multivariate test on 26 of 32 sites it was tested on so it is no longer shown by default. Instead, the new winner is a simple lists of the current products offered on your site.
We still have a few features to implement on our version 3.2 checklist, but we expect to release the final version 3.2 fairly soon.
