The Five Standard Posts

Kristi Daniels

We just finished packaging up the Internet Business Box 3.0 for beta testers to start testing on Monday. So, I'll now start a series of posts telling about the details of the first release of the IBB 3.0.

This post is to tell about the five standard posts that come with every single new IBB 3.0 blog. Wordpress comes with a "Hello World" post that is meant to be deleted. We come with five posts that are NOT meant to be deleted, but you can delete them if you wish.

Here are the titles and the purposes of those five posts:

Contact Us

We have found that having a contact form wins ever split test. The current winning footer has a link to a contact form at the bottom of every page. This post is that contact form that invites your readers to use the contact form to contact you for any reason.

Post

This post is protected access. Only the current owner of the blog can access it by default. You can change that though if you want to invite all customers of your platinum group to be able to guest blog post for instance.

This post contains the form for adding new posts. It has instructions for adding order pages and restricted access pages to your IBB 3.0 powered blog.

Platinum Membership

This post contains the order page for your readers to join your platinum membership program for your blog. With platinum membership, your readers get access to any blog entry that you mark as Access:1003 when you post it.

You should mark your best information with that code to encourage people to join your platinum membership program.

Directory Listing

This is another order page for ordering a directory listing in the blog roll and category pages of your site.

This service is completely automated. You just have to spend the money that comes into your PayPal account every month.

This Site For Sale

This is another order page for the site itself being for sale. You can set a minimum price when you set up your corpconfig.php file when you install the IBB 3.0.

Otherwise the IBB automatically updates this page with your current traffic and revenue figures and sets a reasonable price for your site based on one or both of those numbers.

Those are the five posts that come with every IBB 3.0 installation. They provide for three different ways to make money:

1. Selling your site.

2. Selling listings in the directory of your site.

3. Selling access to your best blog posts that you mark as requiring platinum membership to read.

There are two other revenue streams that are so automatic that you don't even need blog posts to support them. They are Google Adsense and Clickbank. You just supply your account information when you install the IBB 3.0 and it creates the code for you and optimizes it on the fly.

The other two posts are administrative. One allows you to create new posts. This is really your only job as the owner of an IBB powered blog. You post new blog entries. Pretty cool; huh?

The last post allows your readers to contact you with JV proposals and other goodies.

Pretty simple. Pretty powerful. You have five streams of revenue that come from entering your account information for Google Adsense and Clickbank and not deleting these five posts after you install the IBB 3.0.

More details about the IBB 3.0 are coming soon. Stay tuned!
